Description:

The Blue Sky Chromatography: The Development of an Airborne Gas Chromatograph and Whole Air Analysis site reports research on blue sky chromatography, by the University of Leeds Atmospheric Investigation Team, Aerospace Division. The team is investigating atmospheric chemistry and dynamics in a relatively unknown area of the atmosphere with specific reference to the production/destruction rates of tropospheric ozone. They are developing an airborne gas chromatographic (GC) system, which will be used for the measurement of selected non-methane hydrocarbons in the troposphere. Initial results are given.
